Three Dog Night
I couldn't decide whether to call this post Three Dog Night or Pinwheel as they both fit. Since it is winter and we've just had a significant snowfall I went with Three Dog Night.....

The Battle of the New Bed
About three years ago, I told the story of the boys' competition for the dog bed in the family room. Now, over the holidays, I saw a bed at Costco that I thought looked very comfy. As the old bed was getting to the point that the inside cushion was wearing out, I thought I would give this one a try. There is only one problem with it. It really only holds one dog. They don't actually like sharing so it's no big deal, but on occasion I have found them both on the old bed.
When the bed first came home, Wilson fell absolutely in love with it! He barely ever got out for the first week! If he caught Jimmy in it, he gave him a very dirty look!
Recently, Jimmy seems to have discovered the comfort of this bed as well. He even gets up in the middle of the night, goes downstairs and goes back to sleep in the bed. Wilson's day doesn't start so well when he comes down and his spot is already taken!
The other night, Wilson had gotten first dibs and was enjoying the bed. Jimmy decided he wanted to enjoy it as well. This is how it went.....
Unfortunately for Wilson, Jimmy rules the roost. So Wilson will almost always give way, even if it means giving up his spot. Maybe I need to buy a second bed?!

Why, Wilson, Why? on Wordless Wednesday
I don't think this post can get away with being 100% wordless, so I'll give a quick explanation so it makes sense....
You may remember the post about my new mattresses, and how they were so high, the boys couldn't get on. But then I found Wilson happily staring out the window. Somehow he had made the leap. Well, even after getting the low-profile boxspring, it wasn't as low as the old mattress. It was still too much of an effort to get up, and I didn't like him jumping down from that height either. So I tried out various methods to give him a boost. I settled for putting a cedar chest I had in my closet next to the bed. It wasn't a pretty solution, but it was a free one ;-) With a little bit of training both boys had the idea.
And then one day I saw this...................

OK, SoThen Where are We Supposed to Sleep ?!
Here's the scene that greeted me recently as I came upstairs. Do you think I should fluff their pillows and perhaps get them a nightcap?

| Both hoping that fan will be turned on soon...... |
