Tasty Tuesday: Blue Wilderness Wild Chews

Jimmy and Wilson have joined the Chewy.com blogger family! They are quite pleased to be included in all these taste tests they've been hearing about!

For our first time,  I chose Blue Wilderness Wild Chews Beef Tendons. My guys love to chew and these sounded like something they would enjoy.

Just look at the intense expression on Wilson's face as he got a whiff of these goodies......

Wilson went all dreamy-faced as he enjoyed his sample......

Next it was Jimmy's turn....crunch, crunch, crunch......

And he too went all dreamy.....

Is there more????

Now I'll jump in here with some human observations.....There is no doubt at all that the boys enjoyed these Beef Tendons. The one thing I do have a quibble with is the package says long lasting dog chews, and on the back it even has a bullet point saying "Will provide hours of chewing enjoyment". Corgis are very strong chewers, jaws of steel and all that, but Wilson made it through his piece in less than one minute. That's right, crunch, crunch and GONE! I would say Jimmy finished his off in about two minutes. The tendons seemed more like a brittle taffy texture than something chewy. It could be a small dog would take much longer to get through these, but the package says for dogs of all sizes. So I give it paws up for flavor, but paws down for long lasting.

I want to say a big thank you to Chewy for inviting me to join the blogging family. I look forward to more fun product reviews. And of course, I was not compensated for this review, just given the treats for Jimmy and Wilson to try.

I'd also like to say how great Chewy's customer service is. Not too long ago (before I became a Chewy blogger), I ordered a new life vest for Wilson from their website. It arrived on my doorstep in LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Yes, you see that right, from ordering online to having it in my hands, it was less than a full day. Now that is some amazing service! I did not ask for expedited shipping either, it just reached me that quickly!!!

  2. congrats on joining the Chewy review program! Now we chose the very same thing for the very same reason - it said long lasting chew. mabel loves to chew so I thought these would be great to try. We agree with you - she loved it but in less than 30 minutes half was gone (pugs are not real strong chewers). Not what I consider a long lasting chew. Her himalayan chews will last her several days of supervised chewing. We will have our review up in a few days

  3. Wow, not so long lasting! But Rita is not a crazy chewer so maybe I'll try these with her. Maybe I can 15 min out of one!

  4. ENJOY!!! Chewy.com is the best :-) They surely bing Pet Happiness. Happy Tasty Tuesday. Golden Woofs

  5. YAY! Welcome to the Chewy family! I bet the girls would really like those beef tendons! I agree with you, though! They don't last very long, any brand I've ever tried!

  6. Mom won't let us have them cause we chew for a second then try swallowing it whole

  7. How cute! He finished it so fast! :) I wonder how long it's going to take for my Chihuahua mix to finish this! :)

  8. Welcome to the Chewy family! Great review. :) I bought those for Nola a few weeks ago (the biggest size!) and her's was gone in under 2 minutes. She's a strong chewer, but my gosh!

  9. WOOHOOO!!! CONGRATS on your furst review!!! FABulous job! Chewy is the bestest that's fursure! We live on the West Coast, and since they've opened their West Coast Warehouse, shipping is super fast here on the West Coast too!
Those sound like tasty chews fursure! I LOVES the beef tendons when I want a good chew, I likes the Red Barn ones, they are full tendons, and last a long time.
I thinks these would be good for a more 'delicate' chewer...BOL!

  10. That's awesome about your first review ... the boys rocked at it!

  11. I do love that dreamy look they get. Same thing here, though -- the "chew life" is always astronomically shorter than advertised with Mr. Reg involved. I'm going to have to check out Chewy.com. Thanks for the tip.

  12. We had the same experience with those. My dogs enjoyed them, but they disappeared very quickly. Love the dreamy looks!!
