The new Kong SafeStix toy is great! Jimmy and Wilson took to it faster than just about any toy they have. It's meant to be a safe alternative to fetching with a real stick. I bought the Medium size and it is perfect for playing tug without having to bend over too much. It's a nice weight for tossing long distance and has a tough yet yielding surface that the dogs enjoy biting. I got mine from Clean Run and they ship it for free! Gotta love that!

ReplyDeleteI wonder if the baddogs would forgo the firewood if they had the Kong stick. I'm sure they would work to bring it through the dog door -- just as they do with firewood. Funny dogs!

That tune is going to be stuck in my head all day now! The Kong stick looks like fun. I'd love to find a stick alternative for our hikes. Unfortunately, there are steep drop-offs next to the trail and thrown objects often bounce over the side. It might be a good option for playing at home, though.

DeleteOur dogs have that exact toy! I bought it without thinking about what my best friend would say when she saw it. She said exactly what T Myers said! Now, I hide it before guests come over :)

It never even occurred to me, but once John nicknamed it, I was mortified :-) But I guess it will be good for a few laughs and the dogs really do love it!
