Jimmy: Quit wasting my time with that stupid camera. There are deer to chase. *** |
No corgis in sight but still pretty |
A weak sunrise, trying to break through the clouds |
Not a great picture of the boys, but I liked the sun. |
I love snow days! It's like I have the world to myself! Usually the trail above is too busy with bike commuters and joggers to walk the dogs off-leash. But a little snow changes everything in my favor!
*** Speaking of deer, I also have a gross little side story. As we walked along the trail, I got out ahead of the boys. I turned to check on them and they had fallen pretty far back. They had their heads buried deep into the bushes and it looked like they might be eating something. Poop, I figured. But they would not call off of it, so I had to backtrack. Lo and behold, they were wolfing down a dead deer that had been opened up by other animals. Lovely! The weather has been well below freezing for days now and the deer looked quite fresh (Ewww! I know), so I wasn't too worried about what they had managed to get down. But the feast had to end. Needless to say, they were not pleased with me.
I know there was a Wolfy Wilson Wordless Wednesday photo in there somewhere, but I let it go ;-)
Have a great weekend, Everyone!
Yea road-kill! Yum. Bet they were well displeased. What you stopped them from having a free meal. Just the kind of thing my peeps would do. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
No Wolfy Wilson?! He and I are both disappointed :)
ReplyDeleteYou know I could stomach a Wolfy Wilson - my dogs have had their fair share of dead things! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely light in the new header.
ReplyDeleteEwww!..dead deer, oh deer!
ReplyDeleteLove your new header and the snow pics.
ReplyDeleteLove the snow pictures! I'm running low on them too!
ReplyDeleteEck! Deer meat, doesn't sound good to me, but it sounds like the boys like it!
Ew, dogs will be dogs...but ew ew!
ReplyDeleteYou could have taken the meat back for the boys since it was frozen and fresh! Isn't it venison? Georgia eats all kinds of putrefying things. Not a good sight and terrible breath and farts but I understand its nutritious stuff for a dog! Love the last shot. Very moody.
ReplyDeleteEwwwwwww is right! Lovely photos! Thanks for not sharing the dead deer! Even on Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! We love it when it snows! The boys must have thought they hit the jackpot when they happened upon that deer. Dogs will be dogs. :-)

I really love the sun photo too. The dogs look great running down the long road. Love the fresh snow lining the tree branches. So nice to get out before the snow is all trampled for photos.
ReplyDeleteugh...barf. Nothing like finding that surprise!
