Here is the post where I introduced his little quirk:
Wilson's Odd Habit
Next was the story of his little rug in the upstairs office:
Wilson's Rug
And finally, I caught it on video, even making a Wordless Wednesday out of it!
Wilson's Wake-up Wiggle
Ok, so now that you've seen how silly Wilson can be, I have to tell you.....Wilson had his morning "happy roll" so many times, and often so vigorously, that he actually wore out that rug! Yes, he wore it out. It was one of those braided rugs, sewn into a circle with a round hooked center. The rug had been down for many years, over ten at the very least. All of Wilson's rolling loosened the stitching on the braids. I had sewn it several times, but there came a day where we found Wilson all caught up in the rug, waiting for rescue. Safety dictated that the rug must go. I worried Wilson would be sad without his rug, and not take to a replacement. You know how much dogs love a routine! It took a while to find just the right rug for the room, and I really had nothing to worry about.......He took to it like it had been there all along!
I've still got to grab the shots very quickly as he does not like this silly act caught on camera!
You're not trying to take my picture, are you? |
That is so cute. I luffs those unique traits that makes them the little characters we love so much! But, Wilson being camera shy over his rug roll is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLoves and licky kisses

LOL that is because he is a private dancer as Tina Turner would sing, Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Hahaha! Sounds like Wilson doesn't want anyone stealing his rug dance moves!
ReplyDeletecute. You better get that scent all over the place
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Lily & Edward
LOL Wilson is trying to keep his rug dance moves private!
ReplyDeleteSo true - Blueberry does the cutest thing that I can never capture on camera because the moment she sees it, she stops. I should start trying to shape that behavior so she does it on cue.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute, his little routine, but we know all about dogs stopping a behaviour as soon as the camera comes out or they know they're being watched!
ReplyDeleteHam....until the camera comes out! Typical pup! But oh so cute!
ReplyDeleteI loved reading and watching the "history" of Wilson's rug moves! It's endearing to watch him do his special "thing"!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. So hard to catch those behaviors on camera.

He is so cute and that's hilarious!! :D
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Mine will keep being silly when I watch, but as soon as I pull my camera out it's all over ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteBOL! The camera gets me all excited when my Human picks it up! It usually means we're going for a walk or a hike.
Y'all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
A very private affair!!!!! It reminds me of R rolling in the snow. When I point the camera at him, it's all over!!! I guess perhaps we should let our pups have their secret pleasures!
ReplyDeleteThat rug is his favorite toy! My friend's dog has, er, romantic interludes with his rug. LeeAnna at not afraid of color
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! And clearly something he wants to enjoy in private! :)
