The Path of Least Resistance

We had a small snow about a week ago. Not much really, three inches at best. Thanks to colder than normal temperatures, that snow has stuck around, and around.

Out for our morning walk the other day, I had to laugh at the boys. As you can see in the pictures, not much of the snow is left. The ground is poking through here and there. But sure enough, they opted for the even shallower snow where the tire tracks were.

Whether it be single file.....

Or taking the double lane highway....

They always opted for the well packed portion of the trail....well, that is, until they smelled some deer poop off to the side. Snacking on deer poop always  trumps getting your feet cold!

  1. I can't wait to play in some snow, I wonder how I will react to having cold snow paws?

  2. The boys are smart ... they know where to walk that will be the easiest!

  3. Bet snow is a lot of fun. I bit it once

  4. If I had such short legs I can't imagine I'd go very far off the track either. :)

  5. Clever boys we say. Have a terrific Tuesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  6. We get all the snow we want from reading blogs.

  7. Why work any harder than you half too, lol

  8. BOL! There are some things that you just aren't cautious about...deer poo seems to be one.

  9. Do they eat the deer poop? Or roll in it?

    1. They don't seem to roll in it, just eat it. They saving rolling for dead things.

  10. That is so funny!! My girls would probably do the same thing!!

  11. Very smart!!!! The wildlife do that too. I see paw or hoof prints in my snowbike tracks almost every day in the winter!

  12. Smart Kids and oh deer poop is just the cats meow!!

  13. mmmmmmmmm, deer poop!!!! Yummers!!!! Okay, okay, so I've never actually TASTED deer poopie, butts if you like it...I like it! ☺
