Number 9, Number 9, Number 9, Number 9, Number 9, Number 9

Now that 2014 is in the history books, I pulled the agility statistics for Jimmy's area of competition. This list shows the top 25 "Preferred"*** Cardigan Welsh Corgis. I was beyond pleased to see Jimmy's name sitting at Number 9! I look forward to seeing how we do in 2015. Yay, Jimmy!

Of course saying Number 9 brought to mind the Beatles song with those words. It is in the song called Revolution 9. I went to see the lyrics and my goodness are they some of the odder ones from the Beatles. John Lennon at his most experimental stage. Definitely not my taste, but then either was Hey Jude and it was a huge hit. I'm not sure I could pick a favorite song from all their vast works. I think it would depend on my mood. Do you have a favorite Beatles song?

Have a great weekend, Everyone!
I hope it is filled with good news and great music!

*** Preferred refers to the class where the dogs get to jump one height lower than what they measure into. Jimmy measured into jumping 12 inch jumps. That's the height he jumped to earn his MACH title. As soon as he got that title, I dropped him down to 8 inches, aka the Preferred class. Even jumping 4 less inches makes a big difference in the wear and tear on his joints, so I dropped asap. It's also much less frustrating for both of us with many less knocked jump bars.

  1. Well done to Jimmy. Bravo. Not really a Beatles fan so no favourite song for us. Have a fabulous Friday.

  2. Congratulations to Jimmy..and to you of course. I'm kind of like you - many Beatles songs I like...starting with I Want to Hold Your Hand...the ultimate classic.

  9. Congrats!!! What a wonderful surprise!

I must say that 12" seems very high for Jimmy. I'm glad you moved to a lower height. In my backyard agility, I set the jumps at about 8" for Shyla because I don't want to stress her body just for some backyard fun!

  11. Congratulations! I'd prefer to jump shorter jumps too!

Rev 9 definitely not one of my fave Beatles songs! I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but I do love Blackbird and Norwegian Wood.
