We had lovely, cool weather this weekend which made for extra-long walks each morning. We probably clocked about seven or eight miles over the two days and that's a good bit for eleven and a half year old Wilson. Jimmy, on the other hand, wasn't that tired.
Our local squirrel population went wild this summer! I can't remember seeing so many. Jimmy thinks each and every one of them is worthy of a chase......
.....even though he never actually catches them. It adds to the excitement and adrenaline of the walk, and keeps our pace nice and brisk!
Lucky boys. Ours seemed to have disappeared and only just coming back onto the park. Joy of joys. Have a marvellous Monday.

ReplyDeleteWe've seen the squirrel population explode here, too!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of walking on short legs, I know! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just great getting out walking a lot/ My mom says we are going to kill her trying to get all those pesty squirrels! We want all of them and just don't stop trying. Thanks for joining the hop!
ReplyDeleteAll squirrels NEED to be barked at and generally hassled, no matter how many! Good work.
ReplyDeletelooks like a great walk this is the best time of the year for long walks I love taking the dogs out in October

I wish we had squirrels here!! We've only got rabbits. Roos are good to chase but Mum won't let me chase them. She reckons they're dangerous. So what ..... I can run faster than them.
