A Video of a Video? Really?

I haven't set foot outside my house since last Saturday the 7th of December. Since I am on crutches, John has taken over the dog walks, since I am able to work from home, I now never leave the house. As a result, I haven't taken many photos for the blog. It's awkward to handle a camera and crutches at the same time. However, planted in front of my computer, I was able to capture a video of the boys' reaction to a video. I am sure you all follow Romping and Rolling in the Rockies, right? If not, you really should be! The other day there was a post about coyotes including a video of coyotes howling. Jimmy and Wilson reacted to the coyote chorus immediately. So I thought it would be fun to capture their shenanigans on video.....This was their third or fourth time hearing it so they were not quite as excited as the very first time. Wish I had thought to video them right from the first viewing as they were much more animated.

Turn your speakers either up or down depending on how your pets react to hearing other canines......

Growing up, I loved another coyote....Wile E Coyote, that ever hungry / never lucky cartoon character.....Well, almost never lucky.....

And then there is this old Wordless Wednesday post.......

...........And so ends my coyote theme for the day......... BEEP! BEEP!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND, EVERYONE!!!

  1. Just love how Wilson puts his head back to howl -- so cute (and very coyote-ish).

  2. That was fun! I listened to it on low and it elicited a soft growl from the one cardi in my office. Wilson has a deep voice :) And Jimmy was certainly ready to answer your question!

  3. All the boys are still sound asleep... Coyotes live in the green space across the street from us so I didn't expect them to notice or care about those familiar sounds but apparently whatever Wilson and Jimmy had to say about the coyotes wasn't worth waking up for either!

  4. I'll have to see what Porter & Stout do tonight. I have a feeling they won't care too much, since we routinely hear them where we train agility. When they get to carrying on too much out there, Stout will let out one shrill bark. Then we don't hear them anymore :)

  5. However I do love Wilson's howl!
Porter has begun to howl just a little when the cat starts yowling at night. She's keeping him awake... :)

  8. Bwahaahaa! Bella reacted, too, when she heard the coyotes first...but she looked at the computer. And now when you played it again, she came in (even thought she's not feeling well.) Must be the call of the wild.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

SHE always wished Wile E could get that Road Runner at least ONCE.

  9. Holy moly, those are some eerie howls! When I lived in New Mexico I used to sleep with that sound right outside my window. Spooky, but I loved it.

Love watching dogs react to TV and video. We watch nature shows around here for just that reason :)

  10. Sing it, Wilson! Man... I had such a fun idea... I was going to video Rita listening to the video of Wilson and Jimmy listening to the video of the coyotes... but she had ZERO reaction. I can't believe it. Just walked away like it was nuthin. Not at all what I was expecting! (And I agree w/ She at Scotsmad - I always cheered for Wile E, hoping he would get the Road Runner!)

  11. Can you hear my dogs? They didn't react to the coyote video but they are barking and howling along with Wilson and Jimmy! I think that your video was better than the original!!!!!

I hope that you're healing and staying sane. It cannot be easy but I can tell that you're keeping a good attitude.

  12. So sorry about the crutches! Hope you are up and about without them soon. Oh! My! The Bear chased a coyote the other day. There are a pair up where we walk and she (I think) was trying to lead him off. I had no doubt the male was close by. After a lot of screaming he finally came back to see what all the yelling was about. I have to keep a close eye on him. One advantage is because of short legs I see farther ahead than the Bear does. Buddy never (rarely) leaves my side.

  13. They're so cute! My dogs didn't react at all. I was sure Pierson was going to, but he's too busy chewing on a toy to care.
