Vacation Leftovers

I am down to a few last photos from our Ithaca trip that are blog worthy.....

This was an old campsite area in the Watkins Glen State Park. It had quite a few cement top tables, but it looks like the moss took over. I don't think anyone would want to use them for eating unless they had a large table cloth! It made a neat spot for a photo-op however.....

And a large set of steps.......This time back at Taughannock State Park....

And finally, if you ever find yourself in Ithaca, be sure to eat here......

It's a world famous vegetarian restaurant in business since the 70's. The food was absolutely delicious!

Now, I am back to the dilemma of needing blog fodder. It's been miserably hot here lately and walks have been short and uneventful. For that matter, I haven't even been carrying my camera! Whatever will I post?!

  1. It is lovely seeing your pix, what a lovely trip you all had :)

  2. Those moss covered tables look comfy! What a beautiful place!

  3. Maybe pictures of how the boys keep cool? I always enjoy whatever pictures you put up!

  4. Love the pic on the table. It is too hot for the park here too. We hope it will cool down for the weekend. Have a tremendous Thursday.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. You will post that pic of yourself covered in Jimmy's ribbons. :)

It's hard to come up with post topics, isn't it??

Love that moss-covered table top pic! Very cool.

  6. I love that photo on the mossy table!!! I am sure you will think of things to blog about.

  7. Call me crazy - but I want that table, especially with the moss on it!! That's the coolest picnic table EVER!!!

Maybe you could take pictures of the designs your perspiration makes on the sidewalk? ;)

  8. It looks like you pasted Jimmy and Wilson in those pictures.

I'm feeling you on the not having blog fodder thing. I walk Beamer at night now, so our pictures are kind of awful. I think I'm going to go through some of my old photos of Beamer and come up with stuff :P

  9. Very rustic tables...not that you would like to eat there...but great for dog resting.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  10. Oh, I'm with everyone else...I want that table!! It is soooo cool!
    That pic is just purfect!
I like the steps pic too! Such obedient doggies!!

  11. OMG…I like the table with the moss on it. How cool is that! We have an award for you :) Check it out at

  12. Eating at Moosewood must have been fun. And, I love the mossy tabletop. Very cool!

  13. You weren't too far from us! We live in Johnstown, NY. Looks like you had fun! We know what you mean about the heat. YIKES!

  14. Ya we are in a blog funk too, at least until we can leave next week. The heat is a mind killer. I love those photos though, that table is awesome!

  15. That moss-covered table is great! Isn't amazing how quickly nature takes over? The moss probably made a cool, comfortable surface for the boys to lie on. Beautiful steps, too! I'm pretty sure I've heard of Moosewood. I think they have a cookbook out--I'll have to look that up.
