Jimmy's Face....

This is Jimmy's face at a calm, controlled moment.....

This is Jimmy's face watching TV....

Can you feel the intensity? Silly little dog!

Jimmy is an avid television watcher. His primary interests are dogs(or any animal), but just about anything active might catch his attention. And it doesn't have to be live, a cartoon dog will just as easily hold his attention. The Geico Gecko drives him nuts. Here's a link to a post from last summer with Jimmy in full TV mode.....

Wilson doesn't even know the TV exists, isn't that weird? How about your dogs, oblivious or avid TV watchers?

  2. Neither of us watch TV but if a windfarm or anything with a propeller comes on then it is bark, bark, bark. Have a terrific Tuesday.

  3. Our little Reggie is a TV nut. Like Jimmy, he loved Bolt -- barked thru almost the entire film. But his favorite is Jeopardy. My hubby says it because he knows all the answers -- such a bright puppy.

    1. That's funny! I am not sure what it is about Jeopardy Reggie would notice...Does he like the buzzer?

And it was funny with Jimmy...the very day a brought him home from his breeder, I carried him through the house to the back yard, and he spotted the TV on the way through! It instantly caught his attention and he's been interested ever since.

  4. Such concentration! Teach will occasionally become fascinated by something on TV but has never barked at it. Actually I don't think any of my previous dogs (Pem. Corgis) have been TV watchers ... so funny! And I enjoyed watching the video from last year.

    1. Jimmy barks so much you can't hear the program, plus, if he's sitting in your lap, he will launch from the chair with no care for you or his own body. We hold his collar when he's up on the chair, for everyone's safety :-)

  5. Huh. We don't watch TV, but when we did, I don't recall the dogs being interested. They respond to dog and cat noises on the computer when I'm searching for Funny Bone Monday videos.

  6. Crazy dog anyhow. My dogs both totally ignore the tv and computer screen. My older cat ignores them too, but the kitten will occasionally get interested when he is in a playful mood and start chasing moving things across the screen.

  7. Ha! It looks like they just revealed the critical plot point. I keep hearing the Law & Order "dun dun DUN" in my head :)

  8. Max never seems to pay much attention to it but my Dad's old pup Toby Ellis would LOVE watching dog agility on tv and bark like mad if the pups barked only!

  9. Rita watches TV a lot - especially if it is any kind of animal. She even likes cartoon animals. Or humans pretending to be animals...

I heard that lots more dogs watch TV now because w/ HD they can see what's going on. Before, the images came across too slowly, and they would (apparently) see the black space in between images, so it looked weird to most dogs. (I have no idea how they figured this out...)

  10. Giggs loves tv with animals. He's a huge fan of the new show North America, Discovery Channel.

  11. I love Jimmy's expressions in these photos. I guess that intensity we see in photo two is part of what makes him perfect for agility. :-)
