Washington's Not Just About The Politics....NCC*

*No Corgi Content

Before I launch into a week's (or more!) worth of beach posts, I wanted to share a couple of photos I took back in early September. Living as I do in the Washington DC area, politics are an inescapable fact of life, Presidential election year or not. There's always some hub-bub or scandal afoot, but that doesn't mean you can't find a peaceful moment. For my birthday, we decided to take in a change of scenery, and headed over to the National Harbor . It's a relatively new commercial/residential/private marina development on the Potomac River. While technically it's in Maryland, it's just across the river from DC. We wandered around the shops a bit and had dinner with a nice view of the water. Afterwards, we strolled down the main dock to ogle the many large yachts moored there. The day was just about over and the sun was setting across the river. Here's how it looked.....

Too bad Washington isn't always this calm and peaceful!

  3. I would rather have that sunset than politics any day.
