Here's John posing with the Harley at the start of the Kancamagus Highway, or the 'Kanc' as the locals call it. It's a very pretty ride through the White Mountains and is very popular with motorcycle riders.
I don't know if this next photo will look as good on the blog, but I just loved all the tones in the layers of mountains. It should be clickable to a bigger picture. The higher up into the mountains we went, the more clouds we encountered. Eventually, it poured on us! Fortunately, the Harley dealership provided rain gear with our rental. Riding in the rain is a tad scary to me, not to mention those raindrops really sting when they hit skin!
This sign was sighted on many of the roads we travelled, but we never did see a moose the whole time we were in New England. While on a motorcycle, I definitely don't want to see one crossing the road!
We saw this little town by jetski and then by motorcycle......
You must have had a wonderful trip -- the photos are great. I agree that a motorcycle trip should be mooseless.
ReplyDeletePenni, Just wait....the photos get better from here on...We moved on to one of the prettiest places I have ever visited!
