Jim's a Real Swinger!

What were you expecting?

Swings blowing in a strong breeze are another of those moving objects that trigger Jimmy's need to control motion. Woe be the butt that sits in that seat. Jimmy will try to stop the swing any way he can, and it usually involves teeth!

  2. That's hilarious! Blueberry only likes to go to the playground area of the park to check for snacks little ones have left behind. :)

  5. Yikes. What would happen if you put him in one of those swings with the seat and HE was the one moving?

  9. I love it!!!!! It's good that you understand the instincts of herding dogs. There are number of herding dog owners around here who don't seem to "get it". Swinging Jim! I love it!

BTW, you asked in a comment if my dogs have ever chased wildlife and been gone for a long time. Fortunately, we know the dangers of dogs chasing wildlife so we work super super hard to train them to respond to a "leave it" and "come" when they start to chase. They don't earn their off-leash rights until they are reliable. So, we haven't faced that particular problem. However, both of our current dogs will "disappear" if they find a freshly dead animal. They scare the heck out of us. They are always very nearby (within about 30 yds) but they are so obsessed their prize carcass that they don't respond to us. I'm not sure how to solve this problem because they tend to "sneak" away to the carcass so I don't know they're gone until they're invisible!
