The big East Coast blizzard, storm of the century, pretty much missed my area. We are just far enough south here in Northern Virginia that we got little more than a good dusting. But it was perfect corgi-depth. My guys love a good snow day and it brings out their playful spirit. In the Corgi Nation, we have a term "FRAP"....Frantic Random Acts of Play......it describes the reckless abandon with which our corgis run when something strikes their fancy. Jimmy and Wilson had one such moment this morning when they realized it had snowed. You can also see Jimmy's "pacifier" in action.
Let me apologize right up front. I am a horrible videographer! My screen is tiny and I lost track of where the boys were in the middle of the video so it goes all wonky for a bit. But I still think you can feel their joy. (There are some regular photos in this old post.) And would you believe Wilson is coming up on his 12th birthday?
I hope Wilson and Jimmy could hear me barking along with them, I sooo wanted to join in their play

Us too, us too. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
So much fun! Its great seeing Wilson fraping around the yard as hard as he could. Its comical seeing the pacifier in action.
ReplyDeleteThat's a dusting???? Blueberry would probably flip out if we had that level of "dusting" here. What fun this was to watch! I laughed when I saw Wilson leave a urinessage and then turn around and check his work. Bahahaha! They both look like they had a great time romping in that snow. Glad the storm wasn't as bad in your area as they predicted.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your video skills were actually impressive - I hardly felt dizzy at all! ;)
I love that Wilson is the one running around like crazy! He's pretty spry! :)
ReplyDeleteTheir joy was so evident that they got three Corgi's barking along with them all the way west in Wisconsin (where we have much more snow than that, unfortunately!)
ReplyDeleteFRAP! What a great term! SHE always thought we were just manic.
ReplyDeleteAwe!! They are so funny!! I miss snow!
ReplyDeleteNow that looks like mega-fun :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's how my dogs play every night! That frantic racing is a patented trait of the girls.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!!! It is the perfect amount of snow for your pups! We routinely get 1-3' snows here in late winter and early spring, and your pups would disappear under them! Keep zooming, boys!
ReplyDeleteIt was a let down here too, just 12 inches but school was closed

Fun! We love the FRAP phenomenon. Reg does the classic "figure 8" out in the yard, or even in the master bedroom. (I've never been able to capture it on video -- he's way too fast.) Can't wait until we can take him somewhere chilly-willy to see how he would do in the snow.
ReplyDeleteThat was so much fun to watch! I smiled at his pause to create a little yellow snow, at the close-up need the end--and, generally, at his joy.
