Mischief Monday: The Way the Sunlight Plays Upon Your Hair

The early morning sun slants into our kitchen everyday. I love the quality of the light.....that is until I noticed that it was highlighting my housekeeping, or lack there of! Actually, the house had a thorough cleaning just yesterday. Sigh.

At any rate, as so often happens, this photo brought song lyrics to mind. I had to google it, but my slightly paraphrased title comes from the Beach Boys' song Good Vibrations.

I definitely pick up good vibrations from my dogs! How about you?

  1. Yup, I think I give out good vibrations too! Glad I don't have wooden floors though, haha!

  2. I definitely pick up good vibrations from my dogs! The amount of hair that is on my floors right at this very second is making me sad because I just vacuumed it all up yesterday!

  3. I get good vibrations from guys, for sure. Having wood floors can be really nice (have them) but at the same time aggravating when times like above show all the little hairs that appear even after cleaning!

  6. We consider pet hair part of our decor. We matched the fur-niture to the dog and cat fur years ago to get just the right vibration.

  7. Yes, and I get ex-ci-tations from her as well. Dogs are full of good vibrations! Had to laugh after reading the title and then scrolling down to see the pic. Looks like my house! Sigh.... The whole backside of our house is sliding glass doors, so when the sun hits the backside of the house in the late afternoon, it lights up EVERY SINGLE HAIR and bit of fluff on our floors. Since Rita has a never ending supply of hair, and since it's usually sunny here, it's almost impossible to keep the sunlight from playing upon her hair!!

  9. Cleaning is a never-ending battle, isn't it?

I keep it pretty dark in my house in the summer so the sunlight doesn't have the opportunity to show my cleaning deficiencies. ;)

  10. It's not Mr. N's hair that's everywhere in our house, it's mine!

  11. I've gotten in the habit of scooping up piles of fluff that gather in the corners of the stairs as I walk up. Unfortunately, with the hair gone, you just see the dirt that was lurking beneath it. Guess I should be better friends with my vacuum.

  13. BOL - we are the same way. It's a small price to pay to have a furry friend though!

  14. We have the same problem. As well as the sun, the camera seems to pick up stuff we didn't notice.

Couldn't imagine this household without dogs.

  15. They definitely give off good vibrations! I have the same sunlight issue in our hallway. No matter how much I clean there's always fur glistening in the sunlight ;)

  16. Hahaha! We have oak hardwoods in our home. Believe it or not, I love them compared to the cherry we had at our old home. That showed EVERYTHING, and looked dirty 30 minutes after cleaning.

  17. I know that feeling all too well of some new sunbeam slanting just right to show off those tuffs of hair...oh well.

  18. My Mum says if she looks hard enough she'll always find some of my hair! She loves finding a piece in her luggage when she goes away! :)

    I hope you're having a fun day,

    Your pal Snoopy :)
