Sometimes Jimmy can have selective hearing when it comes to recalls. If he's busy doing something he wants to do, he's very good at pretending not to hear me. But one thing always works...I start to walk away, Wilson with me, and then call to him "Bye-bye, Jimmy, I'm leaving!" His head snaps up, he drops what he's doing and comes running. He does not want to be left behind!
Here he is, full speed ahead.......
We had a gorgeous, sunny, and very warm weekend. Jim is sopping wet in the photo!
We are about 50/50 on our recall if we are busy doing something important and Mom tells us she is leaving. It really depends on how important our project is, but if we aren't busy we come about 99% of the time.
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny, I used to use that technique to great effect when my children didn't want to stop what they were doing :)
ReplyDeleteLOL she does the same to me. Bye, bye and before you know it I get anxious and run after her. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
He knows you mean business when you say goodbye! ;-)

I am jealous of your weather. Maybe we sent our weekend weather to you. We had about an inch of rain yesterday, more the day before, and then we woke up to about 3 inches of new wet snow. Yea, spring in Wisconsin!
ReplyDeleteLook at him run! That is a great action shot!
ReplyDeleteOz
That trick works with Jack, but not Maggie...I think she knows we won't really leave her because we always come back.
ReplyDeleteLOL...he must be related to Torrey and Roxy. They have selective hearing too
ReplyDeleteShe says 'Good girl, Bella' and Roxy comes running. But NOTHING gets Bella to come when she doesn't want to. Good you've found the formula to get Jimmy to come.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Bella & Roxy
Great way to get him to come! And LOVE this action shot. You take some of the best pictures.
ReplyDeleteWow, your dog comes on recall?! BOL Bentley comes when he darn well feels like it!
ReplyDeleteHah, so cute! Nola gets worried if I'm more than two steps ahead of her, and when she's in front of me she's constantly stopping to check that I'm still there.

Beautiful photo, love his collar and the paws in the air.
ReplyDeleteThat is SO cute! Love the intensity in his eyes! "Don't leave me, Mom!"
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I get Beamer's attention too!
ReplyDeleteHaha
ReplyDeleteI know all about selective hearing - I can hear the word 'dinner' the easiest! :)
I hope you're having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
