Out on a Limb?
He's level with my second floor window. |
The close-up....That squirrel isn't sitting on much! |
Moments before I snapped the photo, this squirrel was dangling from his hind feet, stretched as far as possible to get one of the last few berries on the tree. He saw me in the window and sat back, ruining the real shot I was trying to get (of course!). This is an ornamental pear tree and it gets covered in miniature "pears". They must be tasty because Jimmy and Wilson scour the ground under the tree for them. Or maybe it's just bunny poop the boys are eating, left by the bunnies that were scouring the ground for the little fruits.
I hate squirrels!
ReplyDeleteLOL bunny poop. I so want that squirrel. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That squirrel is perched pretty precariously, if you ask me. Eating little winter pears?!? I wonder if they are yummy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday,
Oz
Those must be the same trees we have in our neighborhood dropping all the berries - Stout is crazy about them! We've had to alter our walking route lately because it is hazardous to my health when he stops right in front of me to graze :)
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny. I hate when I miss "the shot."
ReplyDeleteThat's a cheeky squirrel....teasing the boys like that!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
That's some good balancing!
ReplyDeleteNola
Ha ha ha! Well, he's a talented little acrobat!
ReplyDeleteIt was probably both bunny poops and fruit. Sounds like a combination my Pierson would love.
ReplyDeleteCute shot! Rita would go nuts over bunny poop in the yard! We had tons of bunnies at our last house, but luckily none where we are now!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous photos!
ReplyDeleteI hope 2014 proves to be a good year for you and yours!
ReplyDeleteThat squirrel is so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed at that the acrobatics that the squirrels in our yard do!
ReplyDeleteThere are no squirrels on my side of the world - so this is a delight. Thank you.
