Armchair Yoga?
It's always amusing what a dog can find to be a comfortable sleeping position. If I slept like that, my neck would not be feeling so great in the morning!
With my broken kneecap putting a halt to about 99% of my usual activity, Jimmy and Wilson have gone from loudly protesting in the early post-injuries days, to quiet, sleepy resolve six weeks later. They still have their rowdy moments but those are fewer and further between. Polar vortexes (or more correctly vortices), rainy days and muddy backyards have not helped. I am hoping this week's check-up with the ortho-doc will set me on the road to walking once again, albeit slowly, carefully, and only short jaunts at first. I won't have to worry about over-doing it for the now-out-of-shape boys, as I will be the slow, tired and sore one. But I can't wait to get started! I SO miss my outdoor time with my dogs! I try not to even think about agility......

We are hoping for a great report from the doc!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you get the all clear to go out and about again. Take it easy and don't over do it. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That does not look comfy !!!!! Good luck with your doctor
ReplyDeleteCrossing fingers that good news will come from the follow-up. And wow ... what a sleeping position!! It makes my neck hurt thinking about sleeping like that. Silly pups!
ReplyDeleteWe agree with tubby3pug.
ReplyDeleteYou look so comfortable. Let me guess that's your chair. We hope that is goes well at the doctor.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a little tight... :)
ReplyDeleteHope the appointment goes well! I can't imagine not being able to walk the dogs for that long. I don't think mine would be quite so understanding!
I hope your check up is all good news. And ya, broken neck syndrome for sure!
ReplyDeleteAll in good time! It was a goal for me to turn my kids into total couch potatoes. Of course, as greyhounds, that was not a terribly difficult task.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, we think that looks like a VERY COMFORTABLE position. Hope your knee heals soon, so the boys can have a walk....and you, too.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Hope you get a good report!
ReplyDeleteNola
That looks very uncomfortable. Hope you get to feeling better.
ReplyDeletehey, you should see the positions I sleep in!!! And most of the time it's with the terrier 'straight arm' !
ReplyDeleteGosh, I sure hopes you get a FABulous report from the doc! You all should get in my 'transport tunnel' and come on overs to California, it was 71 today!! And it's gonna be like this for at least 2 weeks! Geesh, is it the Middle of January, or May??! Ma is ready for a good rain! Anyhu, enough abouts our drought, I hopes you and your Moms can have some walkies soon!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I hope you get the go ahead to start back up again. I can't even imagine how hard that must be on all of you!
ReplyDeleteThey look just as bored as I'm sure you probably are. I hope you're on the mend soon. Being able to be outdoors will probably help inspire you. And I'm sure the boys will too, once they get started again.
ReplyDeleteOUCH! I missed you broke your knee cap! Hope your on the mend. We have been pretty inactive for 2 wks. Although no cardio I have been keeping the girls busy playing hide and seek because the run all over the house looking for me and core conditioning exercises on a peanut shaped ball. Get better and watch out for ice.
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are crossed that you get the go-ahead for walking, however slow and short it may be. Just getting outside will probably lift your spirits immensely. I cannot believe it's been 6 wks. You have handled it amazingly well!
ReplyDeleteI just read now about your knee I'm so sorry!!!!! I can't imagine how horrible it is to be stuck at home for so long! I hope you feel better soon so you can get back to agility again! Lots of hugs, Francesca
