While the title of this blog post really comes from President Theodore Roosevelt's foreign policy way back in 1900, as soon as I saw this photo, that's the phrase that came to mind. Of course, the only way Jimmy will ever speak softly is with a big stick in his mouth, blocking his voice! Otherwise, he can usually be heard screaming at the top of his lungs, especially when he's down at the water's edge!
The look on his face.....BOL!!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised the weight of that stick doesn't cause his feet to be lifted from the ground. :)
ReplyDeleteI've got a bark just like Jimmy...BIG! BOL
ReplyDeleteHehehe, we LOVE this photo. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteP.S. We love to bark too! (mum sighs and shakes her head!)
Sometimes....well, often, actually, my Jimmy won't shut up! I prefer it when he carries a large fuzzy toy because it acts like a trumpet mute!
ReplyDeleteHaha, Nola does the same thing!

LOL! Can't talk with your mouth full can you, Jimmy? :D
ReplyDeleteMaybe I need to stuff a big stick in R's mouth! LOL! And a beautiful autumn photo!
ReplyDeleteLove the connection and the photo. I need to put a big stick in Asher's mouth. He barks at Frankie when he wants to play (Greyhounds are generally very quiet!) and Frankie hates being barked at so won't play.
ReplyDeleteGo Jimmy! One can say volumes if the stick is big enough.
ReplyDeleteI love it when they go for gigantic sticks like this! Jimmy is so darn cute. Love the reflections of the colorful trees in the water.

Ha! Abby used to do the same thing. She'd pick up HUGE sticks at the beach. So funny when dogs do that. Great shot!
