Since life has been a bit out of the ordinary lately, my ideas for Wilson's Wordless Wednesday never made it into a camera. So I thought I would share this photo of a much younger me on a very fun day. (Thanks go to Jackie and this post for reminding me of this old picture!)
You had a tiger back then??? You look surprisingly happy considering that tiger is gnawing on your finger. ;) Too cute!
ReplyDeleteThe cub was about 4 weeks old and actually quite aggressive already. If I didn't have my finger in his mouth to suck on, he was roaring his fool head off and swatting at me. He looks so sweet in the photo. He belonged to the local Six Flaggs Safari Park. When the cubs are born they remove them from their mothers immediately so they will bond with humans. The woman he was living with brought him in to the photo studio where I worked to have his picture taken. Of course, I was not about to miss that photo op!
DeleteAdorable! But it was so mean how they took it away from its mother!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that little fellow. And also interesting that even at 4 weeks he was aggressive. Glad he just sucked on your finger and not gnaw on it!!!!

Such a cute blast from the past. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
What a cute tiger!
ReplyDeleteWow! I expected he might be gnawing on your finger! Grrr...eat photo :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, that is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an incredible day! Not many people have a photo of themselves with a tiger cub!
ReplyDeleteA new kind of cardi?
ReplyDeleteAnd have you still got that finger?

You were an animal lover from a young age like me, Taryn. I'm glad you didn't develop a fondness for large cats, cardis are cuter and (often) do less finger gnawing.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's impressive! Not many people can say they've cuddled a tiger cub. He's very cute, reminds me of my red brindle foster boys :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so fabulous! What a great memory! (Glad I could jog that particular memory for you!)
ReplyDeleteSo adorable!
ReplyDeleteNola

ReplyDeleteA baby tiger?!? No way. That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteNow that is cool!
ReplyDeleteBOL - I've heard of having a tiger by the tail, but a tiger having your finger? That is new!

Well that's a fun photo! Hope you are continuing to heal and will be back to normal activities soon.

I am trying to estimate the date of the photo by the hair style. But my guess does not have the ring of truth to it. Care to tell?
ReplyDeleteI have petted a baby tiger. Very bristly. I see that there is now baby-tiger-themed toilet paper, and I would not care for that sensation.
Also, later, when I imitated the sound the cub made, my cardi Hughie got quite excited.
LOL! Very early 80's.
