OH! WAIT! Maybe we do...................
We really wanted to chase these guys off!
And we did chase this guy, but didn't stand a chance of catching him!
This time of year the wildlife activity really amps up! The deer above, and this cute squirrel were just some of the critters we saw out on our walk yesterday. Luckily I had my telephoto lens on the camera and could catch some of the action. With so many animals scurrying around, leashes really are a must this time of year!
Yes, the animals are out in force at this time of year. I live in fear of my guys taking off to chase whatever, tame or wild.
ReplyDeleteOur peeps so agrees when there are deer around....big sigh. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Good idea with the leashes - I know they can be terrible restrictive to the poor dogs...but better that then getting trampled by a deer! (If you stopped by the blog earlier and the comments weren't working, they are fixed now)
ReplyDeleteThere has been more than once it's a good thing these guys are on leashes. They love to go off leash, so I will let them if it seems certain we won't meet any other critters.
ReplyDeleteWe are having so many issues with deer too, they seem more and more bold each year!
ReplyDeleteLove the Fall colors in the squirrel shot!
ReplyDeleteWe love having wildlife sightings! Nice photos. Even though he's usually good about listening to me, I normally put Wrigs on his leash when we encounter wildlife (especially rattlesnakes) just to be safe. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! What great photos. I would be afraid to chase the deer, I think.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures!! Such vivid colors! Teach had a blast chasing after the chipmunks and squirrels on the trail the other evening. This is the first year he's really paid attention to those little critters.

Oh man, the colors in that squirrel shot make me want to head East right now! Great shots! (I remember how bad the deer were when we lived in Philly!)
ReplyDeleteI agree, leashes are a must this time of year. Pierson would have chased that squirrel too along with rabbits and even jumping after birds.
ReplyDeleteBest to keep em contained!

What a shame. A bit of deer chasing would be good exercise. I, Daisy, once chased a kangaroo, it was FUN!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
The squirrels are rampant around here. Each time one of my crew sees one, they act as if they have never seen one before. It is comical. Awesome getting a shot of those deer.
ReplyDeleteIn jersey city we have geese Galore worst part is bob and ping love to eat their poo
ReplyDeleteUrban hounds
I'm not really that into squirrels - I prefer to chase my tennis ball. Pawsome photos though! *waggy tail*
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel guys, my Mum will never trust me and always keeps me on leash unless we're at the dog park - doh! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Beautiful!!!! <3
