When things get dirty, one never asks for anything as simple as a towel or a rag. It's more like, "Hey, can you grab me a dog-towel real quick, I just spilled my coffee on the floor!", or "I'm gonna wash my car, would you bring out a few dogs-towels so I can dry it off?" and off course "Don't you dare let the dogs in until they get a good wiping off with the dog-towel!".
So lately, what with the dogs swimming in the lake and plenty of rain to muddy the back yard, I've been going through more than my share of these towels lately. After a recent super-size laundry load or three, this photo-op presented itself....
Wilson: This better not mean I'm getting another bath! |
How is it at your house? Is the inventory of dog-towels way bigger than that of the bath towels?
This weekend is another attempt at agility. It is in a different building and location (even a different state!) than the scary A/C, so I am hopeful. We'll see how it goes.....
Have a great weekend, Everyone!
Absolutely! I have WAAAY more "dog" towels than I do "nice" towels!
ReplyDeleteBOL! I'd say they are about equal in our house, sadly!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we get confused about which is which! I don't know whether that means we have particularly nice dog towels, or crummy person ones:) Have a fine agility weekend!
ReplyDeleteI live in Arizona - so I have approximately one dog towel. I feel like I should go out and increase my supply after seeing your picture though!
ReplyDeleteMost of our dog towels have holes chewed in them... that's how they became dog towels. Darn you, Stout!
ReplyDeleteGood luck this weekend!
We have dog towels too, but there are times where they have been mixed up!
ReplyDeleteSlobbers
Old towels become dog towels over here too. We too have quite a few but I have to say not as many as you. Good luck this weekend. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We have way more dog towels than SHE has bath towels. Ours are a bit tatty because they come to us after they've been bath towels. Last year when SHE had visitors, SHE had to borrow bath towels from a friend for the visitors.....BOL!

What with all our beach going, we do have a lotta dog towels! But then, we also have a lot of human towels because we had a pool at our last house so we accumulated a ton of beach towels. Bath towels for humans are at a premium, but we've got gym towels, beech towels, and dog towels a'plenty!
ReplyDeleteOMD!! This is sooooo funny! Ma was just sayin' the other day that she should really thin out the 'dog towel' supply!!! Yups, the stacks are higher than ME!! She says, you just never know when there's gonna be a 'dog towel' emergency!! WTF?! Really woman? When has there EVER been a 'dog towel' emergency???? Geesh.
ReplyDeleteYou really had Ma chucklin'!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Hahaha! You sure have a lot of dog towels. Don't worry, we'll keep our mouths shut about the motel towels. My sister "borrows" towels from the gym and she uses them for the dogs.
ReplyDeleteWe've just had to buy some new towels for ourselves, so we can use the old ones for a wet soggy lurcher when he gets home from the beach - I'm sure he has more towels than we do!!
ReplyDeleteWe're the same way! I have a bunch of old towels (Alf beach towel, anyone??) from my parents, and now my husband and I have acquired our own set of "dog towels". They're very useful, though!! But, like Ann, I think we have more dog towels than human towels.
ReplyDeleteWe're in Arizona, so our pile of dog towels is much smaller than yours. There's a lot more dust than mud here. :-)

We have dog towels AND dog rags! The horse has his own fair share two but they usually don't mix. haha
ReplyDeleteWe too have got dog towels and the they don’t last long. I give my dogs new towels and they divided in amongst themselves but tearing it into two (lol). It happens only when I get a new towel for them, I wonder what's there in new towel only. But its kind of fun for me so I let them do it. Dog Training Northern Virginia
