My house isn't too far from the neighborhood firehouse. These folks are the first responders for medical emergencies and automobile accidents in my area. The alarm siren is pretty loud if you are out in the backyard.
Jimmy and Wilson wanted to lend a hand, making sure no one missed the siren. I wasn't expecting such a spontaneous duet, so I didn't capture it in the sharpest focus. But I bet with just a little imagination, you can hear what they are saying........
And for a bit of NCC (no corgi content), here is a little dose of cute on the neighborhood lake......
BOL - I remember our Great Danes doing that, but our Golden's have never joined in.

BOL funny. We bet that was one pawsome duet. We had a friend doberman that would do that if he heard a siren. We jumped out of our skins the first time he did in the park. Have a terrific Tuesday.

If this is like our boys, Wilson is saying "wooooo wooooo" in a long low tone while Jimmy is chiming in with a high-pitched "yip-yip".

Emma and Owen react to our siren in the same way. Cute duckies!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy seeing pictures of magnificent boy corgis and you're certainly are! I was raised in Illinois. Your pictures of the Canadian geese bring back so many memories of early morning trips to see them on their way south. My mother was an artist and she painted so many pretty pictures of them. When others hunted, she sketched. She saw the beauty in everything! I was so blessed to be her daughter.
ReplyDeleteSinging along with sirens is a favorite pastime around here. The photos of the Canada geese and their goslings are so precious! Beautiful reflections in the water, too.

LOVE the shot of your boys singing. :) And *SQUEEEEE* Goslings! So CUTE!!! Seriously adorable.
ReplyDeleteFinn's never sang along with sirens! How funny is that!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those babies!!!
ReplyDeleteI fostered a part hound dog and I also live very close to a fire station - so let's just say there was a lot of "back up singing" to go with the sirens. ;) Isn't it funny? Although my foster had a beautiful baying howl and put the other dogs in the neighborhood to shame. They needed a tune up! :)
They are helping fire fighters very well!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos!
Hi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteLove the new babies!
Y'all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Aw, I love the duckies!! That would have just cracked me up to hear their duet!!! I can hear it in my head now!

ReplyDeleteTwo corgis howling is quite the sight to behold. I can only imagine what it must sound like.
ReplyDeleteWe're waiting for the Canadian geese to lay their eggs in our neck of the woods. They're cute, but the poop is just too much. The dogs love to snack on it...
Cute fluffy babies!
ReplyDeleteThe duet pic is too cute. (Someone told me recently that only male dogs howl at sirens. Is that true??? I've only had girls and none of them have howled at sirens, although Bailey - the beagle - definitely knew how to bay!)
Taryn, are they howling? Darby and a Pumpkin have never, to my knowledge, howled. Cute geese. I saw our first batch of the year at the lake on my Saturday morning walk.
