Tasty Tuesday: A Fresh Green Salad!.....And a New Giveaway Winner!

This time of year, when the grass is back in full force, both my boys become obsessed with chowing down on it! They would happily stand in one spot for ten minutes and get a belly full. I, being the meany that I am, don't let that happen. I know what the result will be a few hours later after it has traveled through the dog and is ready to come out the other end!

Next on today's agenda.....The winner of last week's giveaway for Jackie's book What the Dog Ate has never contacted me, so, after five days, I think it is time to try again!

The new winner of the book is:

It looks like Jackie's book will be on it's way to being an international sensation! Molly the Wally is our new winner! Please contact me at  taryn(dot)tipton(at)gmail(dot)com so I can get this fun book on it's way to you!

  1. Careful about eating grass...our Maggie had a miserable weekend from an upset tummy she tried to solve with grass - check it out on our blog. She's better now and I know grass - especially spring grass can be tempting, just don't overdo!

  2. Woof! Woof! Be very extra careful. Mom always say 'don't eat it, you are not a horse." Not really sure what's the attraction with the grass. Happy Tasty Tuesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  4. I love the look in that last photo. :) I always thought that dogs ate grass when they had an upset tummy and needed to throw something up. I only wish my dogs ate grass. Instead of chicken and duck poop. Talk about your raw food ...

  6. Yikes that lovely Spring grass that I am not allowed to eat but I do try and be sneaky. I am thrilled to have won. Thank you so much. Have sent email. Have a terrific Tuesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  7. Fresh spring grass is tantalizing, for sure! I wonder if dogs are attracted by the higher sugar content? (That can cause problems for horses in the springtime.) Congratulations to Molly!

  8. Rita likes to eat a bit of grass now and then too. I've read it's not just when their tummies are upset. I thought it was okay if they ate a bit of it, no? (Maybe it's like everything else - okay in moderation?)

Hooray for Molly winning! I hope she'll enjoy it!

  9. Oh we were pretty afraid that we might have won the give away since we've been offline since we entered. Would be our luck to finally win something in a drawing and then miss out. But we're happy to say, it wasn't us! Of course the new winner wasn't us either. Oh well. Maybe next time. Blue and Bettina are too busy in the backyard eating grass anyhow.

  10. Kolchak and Felix looooove the spring grass. They are "grazers" year round, but it seems they enjoy it more in the spring.

  11. Max would be happy to eat grass for a while too but like you I stop him or he'll throw it up and it's not even peanut butter flavored grass?!?! Yea for Molly for winning the book! Can't wait to hear what she thinks - I know she'll love it! Have a great rest of your Tuesday!
