On the ride home from work tonight I could see a thunder storm out to the west. Out in the direction of my neighborhood.....The closer to home I got, the darker it was, with large bolts of lightening and loud peals of thunder. In the homestretch, the rain began, just a little at first, and pouring down buckets by the time I hit the driveway. John's car was gone so I knew Jimmy would be beside himself in the house. He has a bad thunder phobia, and has even managed to infect Wilson with it. I open the door from the garage to the house, and both boys coming flying out! I turned around to get my laptop out of the back of my car and both boys asked most emphatically to be let in the car. They can't jump in without help, but do put their feet up on the door edge to help with being lifted in. I figured, what the heck, if it eases their worries, why not.
Here they are......

Riders on the Storm! |
Those boys know where it's safe! We had the same storm, beginning at 4:30. Unbelievable hail, thunder, lightening, and torrential rains. Only we've converted the garage into our rare bookshop, and the rain was so heavy it seeped in between the wall and floor (in one corner). So the cardi boyz were in the house, while we water vac-ed the garage!
ReplyDeleteAwww! (We, here in always-perfect Southern California, had a few high clouds today and it was HUMID -- about 35%, I'd say! MUGGY!!)
ReplyDeleteNice safe place to hide out the storm. Clever Jimmy and Wilson. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Awwwe! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww, so good. Hope they made it through ok!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! Funny what they deem to be "safe". Coulee is apparently the same. She is afraid of thunder when we are home but when we were camping in our tiny tin can of a trailer, she was totally fine!
