Penni at Elyan Cardigans always treats all of us to her ever-so-lovely New Mexican skies, so I thought I would return the favor. Here are a couple of sunsets out the bedroom window of our condo. Maybe not quite a stunning as out west, but still some very pretty colors. And of course, the land is as flat as a board this close to the ocean.

I Love the Beach!
Growing up on the East Coast, I have always lived within an easy drive of the ocean. First in New Jersey where the beach was barely an hour away and my Grandma had a house in Ocean City. Lots of time was spent there as a child. As a result, the ocean sights, sounds, and smells bring peace to my soul. I don't think I could ever live year-round in a beach town, but a vacation spent by the ocean is always wonderful! I think Wilson agrees.....

And We Call Him........
..... "Chicken-Bone" !
Jimmy has earned himself a nickname for when we are out on the beach. When he's not chasing Wilson or his ball, he spends every minute scouring the beach for chicken bones. It seems like an odd thing, but you'd be amazed at the number of weathered chicken bones he can find in a mile or two walk. It can really be quite frustrating as I need to keep a close eye on him to be sure he doesn't eat them.
Here he is, sniffing for his favorite contraband in the last rays of the day.

Bannister Balancing Act
We headed down to Myrtle Beach, SC for a long weekend. The weather on Thursday and Friday was not very cooperative...grey and cold. Saturday, however, was gorgeous!
Here we see Wilson and Jimmy standing on the hand railing of a walkway that is quickly being reclaimed by the beach. I guess all those agility lessons have really paid off. Neither boy had any qualms about running up the railing and posing.

This is Wilson on the same railing, but from another angle. It's not quite as wide as a dogwalk but still has plenty of room for both feet.
