....Looking out the master bedroom window which faces our back yard. This is just beyond our fence, an area that is popular with the local wildlife.
Momma Deer is looking a little slim/worn out from feeding the family. |

Once Wilson and Jimmy noticed them and let go a loud ruckus, they blended away into the scrub. |
Awww! Very, very cute. (I know they cause problems -- eating gardens, getting in the way of cars) but seeing them is magical and we do good for ourselves to find ways to live with them. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAwww! I love deer - we have a ton and with a creek running through the backyard it's like a deer highway out there some days. My favorite is a white albino doe - I did a double-take the first time I saw her as a fawn, she is truly white right down to her hooves! She is two now and just gorgeous, almost ghost-like.
ReplyDeleteThe boyz - well, Rufus pretty much ignores them now, and Nick's first encounter was nothing short of comedy gold! He turned around and looked at me like "WTF are THOSE things???" He didn't know what to do!
Awww. I'm looking forward to seeing stuff like that soon. We move out to the country on 15 acres surrounded by woods and wildlife next month.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I love seeing the fawns. As you might know, we have many white-tail around here. Dewi chased a young buck into the woods the other night. :( He was so proud of himself.
ReplyDeleteBamby :-)
