A Welsh Yard by definition is a unit of length equal to 40 inches (approximately 1 metre), used in Wales. A second definition known to Cardigan owners, is that a Welsh Yard is the distance from the tip of a Cardigan's nose to the tip of his tail.
I offer a third definition, as the distance kept between littermate brothers for the purpose of preventing a tussle during a photoshoot. Here is my pictorial definition:
On the left is Jimmy's littermate, the very handsome Bobby. Wilson, Jimmy and I got together with Bobby and Claire (who has yet to join all of us in blogland....hint, hint!) for a bit of R and R in the country. I'll be posting more photos later on when I've had a chance to wade through what I took.
Two very handsome boys! I bet they had a good time!
ReplyDeleteI'm peaceful just looking at that photo. :) Bobby is a very handsome boy (as is Jimmy). Where did you get Jimmy?
ReplyDeleteAww, he is very cute. Can't wait to see more photos!
ReplyDeleteBobby and Jimmy are "Fine Creek" boys. Their breeder is located in the Richmond area...Powhatan.
ReplyDeleteWe tried to get a pup from Fine Creek, but she wasn't having any (and she told us she already had a long waiting list). Wouldn't have JF and Dewi, though.
ReplyDeleteI believe Jimmy/Bobby's litter was the last time she had a litter, so about 4 years ago. I bet her waiting list IS long!
ReplyDeleteAnd things always work out anyway, look at the beautiful boys you have!
They are so handsome! Look forward to more pictures!
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy guys with smiles!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they were Fine Creek boys! We tried to get a pup from Anne back when we ended up with Rufus...that was 11 years ago...that must be a looooong list! ;-)
