Just Jimmy

Here's a look at Jimmy's day yesterday. We kept him busy on his birthday!

We took a nice walk down by the neighborhood lake. Jimmy did a bit of posing for the camera. He's not the super-model Wilson is, but I got a few shots I like.

My favorite from the walk!

Back at the house, Jimmy and Wilson were playing fetch. Wilson's flying squirrel toy got stuck up in a tree. I got the broom so I could knock it down. Brooms are one of those things that send Jim into a huge tizzy! He grabbed it from my hands and ran! He wanted a good game of tug but this broom wasn't going to hold up to his jaws of steel!

And finally, at the end of the day, a birthday cake! Jimmy was tired and grouchy after such a long day, and had had it with me and my camera! Isn't it funny how huge Cardigans look when you hold them close for a picture?

Jimmy taking a BIG breath to blow out his candle!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND, EVERYONE!

What I Saw as I Walked in the Back Door

So, I came into the house via the back door....and this is what I saw. Jimmy sacked out on his bed. Nothing unusual about that except he didn't bother to get up. I was able to walk to the kitchen island, grab my camera, walk back to the door, and the silly expression hadn't changed a bit. I guess he must have had a moose antler hangover...that's what's poking out from under his lower leg.

A face only his mother could love!

Giveaway Winners!

Well, there was very little interest in my Specialty item giveaways.....it just made the odds that much better!

Finn is the lucky winner of the leash and Merinda, being the #2 commenter about the car (using Random.org), you have won the training bag!

Now Fay, if you are interested....I have a very cute little consolation prize I can send you......

At any rate, thanks to all of you for playing my game. Next time I'll have to come up with more exciting prizes.

Please email me at taryn(dot)tipton(at)gmail(dot)com with your mailing addresses, and I'll pop these items in the mail sometime next week.

The Butter Boys

I live in the thick of Northern Virginia suburbs, filled with countless cookie-cutter homes, small yards, and endless pavement. However, there are a few holdouts who have kept the feel of old Ashburn alive. A short walk from my house, via the W&OD trail, is a small farm complete with chickens, several horses, and even bee hives! The mild winter was really a boon for the flowering plants this year. Their horse pasture is covered in buttercups right now. I got as close as I could without risking Jimmy seeing the horses. He gets pretty amped up about them and I certainly couldn't risk him going for the chase! So here are the boys posed just outside the fence. The horses were not far away but the tall weeds, flowers, and grass kept them out of sight. Good thing they weren't curious about what I was doing and came for a visit.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND, EVERYONE!

And don't forget about my GIVEAWAY.
