The Space Shuttle Discovery flew from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida into the Washington, DC area this morning on it's final flight, piggy-backed on a 747 jet. This picture is the view we had from our office high-rise windows! It will land at Dulles Airport shortly where it will take up residence at the Udvar-Hazy Center(Air and Space Museum). Pretty darn cool!
Here's another shot (I didn't get to see it this close though) from a fellow employee at a more western office....
Needless to say, productivity took a dip today..........

The View from My Office Window
This past Saturday was sunny and 65 degrees. We enjoyed a lot of outdoor time. Sunday was cooler, but still quite pleasant. The forecast for Monday was showers in the late afternoon. Well, as is often the case, the weathermen were a bit off. We had showers alright, but they were snow showers! It really came down at my office. It was a heavy, wet snow and stuck quickly to the trees. The roads, luckily, were too warm for accumulation, and were just wet. I drove home at 6PM and the closer I got to home, the less snow there was. By the time I reached the house, there was barely a dusting, if that.Usually, my north and west of the city location gets more snow but not this time.
At any rate, today is blue sky and sunny. This is the view from my 9th floor cube......It won't last long, we are supposed to reach the 50s again today........
